SECU People Helping People ScholarshipWYWLA has the opportunity to nominate a student for consideration for a $10,000 “People Helping People” scholarship opportunity. This scholarship is available to graduating public high school seniors who are either members of SECU or the child of a parent/guardian who is a member of SECU. Applicants must also have a minimum 2.5 unweighted GPA, and they must have been accepted to one of the 16 constituent campuses of the UNC system and plan to attend one of these 16 schools. Ideal candidates demonstrate leadership, excellence of character, integrity, and community involvement. All application components are due via email (kdicarlo@wcpss.net) to Mrs. di Carlo by 2:30 on Friday, February 22nd. Completed submissions include the student application and essay (as a Word document), signed consent form, university acceptance letter, brief student bio, and a headshot photo.
